How Overconsuming Media Is Stopping You From Becoming Your Hottest Self
Ritisha KhatriShare
This is something I feel strongly about and I think it matters more than we admit.
We live in a world where we consume so much content about becoming “that girl,” glowing up, being confident, successful, desirable yet spend very little time actually doing the work required to become her.
And that disconnect is why so many people feel stuck.
You don’t become your hottest self by watching someone else live their life on a screen.
You become her by stepping away from the screen and investing in yourself.
Watching routines, glow-ups, relationship content, and lifestyle videos gives the illusion that you’re moving closer to something. In reality, you’re often just consuming someone else’s effort.
You start wishing:
-“I want to look like that”
-“I want that lifestyle”
-“I want that confidence”
But wishing doesn’t change anything.
Trying does.
Here’s the part people don’t like to hear:
It girls spend time on themselves.
Not just aesthetically internally.
They:
-build routines
-practise discipline
-learn new skills
-work on confidence
-invest in their health
-develop knowledge and awareness
They don’t spend hours consuming content about becoming her.
They spend hours becoming her. That’s the difference.
One thing that’s often missed in the “It Girl” conversation is this:
it girls don’t just have aesthetics they have systems.
They have routines.
They have schedules.
They plan their time intentionally.
Not because their lives are perfect, but because progress doesn’t happen by accident.
Growth comes from structure. From knowing:
-what you’re working on
-where your time is going
-how your habits support your goals
That’s why planning matters. When you externalise your life your routines, goals, and habits; you stop relying on motivation and start relying on systems.
Tools like Notion planners aren’t about productivity for productivity’s sake. They’re about clarity. They help you see your life clearly, track progress, and stay consistent when motivation dips.
If you want guidance taking that first step especially if you’re trying to build glow-up habits without overwhelm, I’ve created Notion planners on my website designed exactly for that purpose.
They’re there to support you, not control you.
To help you build routines that actually move your life forward.
Because becoming your hottest self isn’t about consuming more content it’s about creating a life that’s progressing, intentionally.
If you want to:
-look a certain way
-feel confident in your body
-reach a personal or professional goal
-build a strong sense of self
-attract better opportunities
it requires effort.
Yes, luck exists.
But mindset creates opportunity and everyone can cultivate that.
Trying is the key.
If you don’t try, don’t expect change.
And if you don’t change, you’ll be in the same place years from now with more content saved and no progress made.
Confidence isn’t something you build by consuming motivation.
It’s something you build by doing hard things repeatedly.
Learning more.
Growing more.
Thinking beyond yourself.
When you invest in:
-knowledge
-skills
-habits
-routines
you naturally become more attractive not just physically, but energetically.
That’s the aura people talk about.
It comes from self-respect, not aesthetics.
One of the biggest time-wasters is scrolling while wishing you had:
-someone else’s body
-someone else’s life
-someone else’s relationship
That energy could be used to:
-move your body
-learn something new
-improve your routine
-build confidence
-take one small step forward
You don’t need to be someone else.
You need to become more of yourself intentionally.
You are lucky to be alive.
You have time.
You have access to resources.
You have the ability to change.
You don’t get unlimited chances to waste years wishing you had started sooner. We only get one shot at this life. And the responsibility to make the most of it is ours.
We cannot afford to live in a society where people overconsume content and underinvest in themselves.
There are endless resources available, guides, routines, education, and support that can help you glow in realistic, achievable steps.
That’s why I share what I do through Wellness Glow Club. Not to be another account you scroll past but to be something you use. Because knowledge without action is wasted.
The hottest version of you isn’t static.
It evolves as you age, grow, and learn.
It’s built through:
-confidence
-habits
-routines
-discipline
-self-trust
Not overnight.
Not through comparison.
But through consistency.
So stop waiting.
Stop wishing.
Stop consuming and start investing.
Glow up not for aesthetics, but for your life.
